HISTORY

New-generation entrepreneur, environmentalist and biking enthusiast Mr. Federico T. Cadiz is a developer of bamboo bike frames. These are made from the finest mature bamboo, which are cut and designed to achieve the same sturdiness as metal frames.

Mr. Cadiz’s project and his ingenuity caught the attention of a German company and he was asked to produce bamboo frames for one of their models.

In 2013, Mr. Cadiz visited the owner of Corratec in Germany and, in the same year, he accepted the exclusive distributorship of Corratec bicycles in the Philippines. This marked the beginning of Weird Cycles.

Weird Cycles opened a concept store in C.M. Recto, Lipa City located at the heart of the city’s Central Business District where there is plenty of foot traffic, thus contributing to the store’s visibility. The business’s main product is Corratec bicycles, which are of German design and engineering.

Since then, the store has been relocated to its new home in Hotel 1925 where it stands next to similarly positioned restaurants and offices. Aside from Corratec bicycles, Weird Cycles is also the exclusive distributor of ABUS locks and helmets and First Bike in the Philippines.
